Herzberg Design Co is a New Orleans-based studio founded by Dutch designer Matthijs Herzberg, specializing in type design, brand identity, and art direction. Known for its bold, unconventional style and meticulous attention to detail, the studio produces work that is both expressive and purposeful. Notable typefaces include Cloisterfuch, a striking blackletter with exaggerated forms; Fang, created during quarantine as a reflection of creative exploration; and Schmaltzy, a flexible typeface featured in a range of design projects. Matthijs Herzberg’s work has been recognized by the Type Directors Club for excellence in type design.
