Founded by Kai Büschl, Oliver Linke, and Robert Strauch—who departed in 2014 to focus on graphic design—​ the team emphasizes unique aesthetics over machine-perfect forms. Katharina Seidl joined as a partner in 2020. Notable typefaces from Lazydogs Typefoundry include LD Alena (inspired by Jost Hochuli’s woodcuts), LD Moderne Antiqua (combining Roman and Slab Serif), LD Grotesk (19th-century industrial sans-serif), LD Moderne Slab (a slab-serif complement), and LD Streets of London (inspired by David Kindersley’s signage).
